RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.
REUNION FUNCTION. A reunion of ex-members of the Palmerston North Rifle Volunteers was held on Saturday night, when there was a large attendance. Lieutenant C. Louisson was in the chair. An enjoyable evening was spent. Songs were contributed by Messrs S. Toon, D. Dilks, W. Adams, J. 11. Perrin; Scottish humour by Air J. Hill; and a xylophone "item by Mr F. Gedson. Air I. Speight was at the piano. The following toast list was honoured ;• —“The King”; “Absent Comrades,” proposed by Lieut. W. L. Fitzherbert; “Ex-Palmerston North Rifles,” proposed by Alajor J. T. Bosworth, replied to by Alajor R. D. Hardie, Lieutenant, J. H. Perrin, Col.-Ser-geant G. Stephenson and Corp. G. Tremaine; “Sister Corps,” proposed by the chairman, replied to by Alajor Garner and Air S. G. Northey; “Alusicians,” proposed by Sergeant, A. AV. Just, replied to by Alessrs Gedson and Toon. A vote of thanks was accorded tlie committee which made the arrangements, special mention " being made of the work of the secretary, Air S. Wright.
