DISMISSAL OF EMPLOYEE. LONDON, Nov. 22. Twenty thousand bank clerks in England and Wales are joining in the fight for the reinstatement of lan McPherson, a young clerk Avho Avas dismissed from the .Union Bank of Scotland, allegedly becaAise of his trade union activities. The bank denies he Avas victimised because of his trade union views. It admits he was dismissed because of his public utterances and writing in support ofthe Scottish Bankers’ Association.
