In the tennis match played by the A team on Saturday the local players were beaten by Bunnythorpe by 9 sets to 7 and 77 games to 61. Results are as follow, local players being mentioned first: Women’s singles, Miss E. Woodd lost to Miss W. Robson, 5—6; Miss M. Sly lost to Miss E. Robson,'4—6; Miss E. Christiansen heat Mrs Baker, 6^3; Miss I. Johansen beat Miss L. Gore, 6—4. Men’s singles, W. Vautier beat 11. Robson. 6—3- L. Little beat J. Gore, 6—2; E. Morris lost to 11. Godfrey, o—6; K. Sly lost to A. Gee. 2—6. Women’s doubles, Misses Woodd and Sly lost to Miss W. Robson and E. Robson, I—6; Misses Christiansen and Johansen beat Mrs Baker and Miss Gore, 6—4. Men’s doubles, Vautier and Little beat Robson and Gore, 6—3; Morris and Sly lost to Godfrey and Gee, 2—6 Mixed doubles: Little and Mies Woodd lost to Robson and W. Robson.
