PERSONAL.
Rev. C. B. Boggis, of Hastings, who is conducting the special services at the Baptist Church to-morrow, is the guest ot Mr and Mrs W. Wilby, Lombard Street.
Dr. G. H. Scholefield, 0.8. E., General Assembly Librarian, was, with Mrs n.nd Miss Scholefield. the guest of Mr and Mrs S. J. Bennett last night. They returned to Wellington this morning. The death has occurred at Birkenhead, Auckland, of Mr .John Brophy, aged 63. He was born at Pleasant Valley, Geraldine, his father, Mr Kyran X- Brophy, having settled in South Canterbury in 1860. He moved to the North Island in 1905, and for several years was slock auctioneer for Dalgety and Co., Ltd., in the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu districts. In later years he was in the land agency business in Auckland. Mr Brophy, whose wife died four years ago, is survived by two sons and two daughters.
