YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. A farther improvement in Broken Hill Proprietary was .the principal feature of yesterday’s business on the Wellington Stock Exchange. Sales were made at up to 645, buyers staying in at that price. B.H.F. rights were actively traded at from 20s 3d to 29s Bd, eight parcels going at the latter price. Electrolytic Zino ordinaries .firmed Is 2d to 48s 3d, sellers asking 49s Cd, and the preference advanced Is 6d to 51s, sellers 51s 6d. Mount Lyell and Barrier issues were also firmer in sympathy with the base metals market. Other sections of the market were very quiet, without much change in prices, Commercial Bank of Australia eased to business at 17s sd. Bank of New Zealand were firm at 44s 2d, sellers 44s 4d, Union Bank were weaker at £9 5s 6d, sellers £9 10s. The demand for other shares was dull. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
