SKILLED TRADES.
TRAINING FOR YOUTHS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. The scheme .for training youths between the ages of 18 and 25 in skilled trades, particularly the building trades, was outlined to-day by Hon. P. C. Webb. -It includes subsidisation of the wages of those who lost the opportunity, through the depression, of entering the skilled trades. There will be a special contract of apprenticeship. The scheme as finalised applies for the present to the carpentering and bricklaying trades only.
