1937 REVEILLE.

SEASON CONCLUDES. The 1937 Reveille, produced by Mr W. Lints on behalf of the Feilding Plunket Society, concluded on Saturday evening, when the house was stated to be worth over £SO. The Mayor (Mr T. Collins) thanked Mr Lints for his splendid achievement and stated that had ho (Mr Lints) had another week to train the performers they would have been perfect. The production would enable the Plunket Society to continue its progressive policy, and within a month the building of new Plunket rooms would he in progress. Mr Collins was happy to say that the citizens of Feildimr wore always ready to give liberally to any worthy cause and the patronage accorded the Reveille was particularly gratifying. Mrs A. C. McCorkindale, president of the Plunket Society, also spoke in glowing terms of the producer’s work, and congratulated tlie performers on their splendid exhibitions.

Mr Lints thanked the Mayor and Mrs McCorkindale for their, remarks and said that lie was particularly pleased with the talent he had had at his disposal. He stressed Feilding’s need for a new town hull; he had not been able to obtain the colourful effect that he would have liked; there had been no interchangeable scenery available. Mr Lints paid a tribute to the work of the orchestra and all who had assisted the success of the Heveille.
