FIRE CALLS.
Twelve calls were received during August by the Palmerston North Fire Brigade as against eight for the corresponding month of 1936. The total this month is made ur> as follows: Two fires, one electrical fault, one motorcar, one rubbish heap, six chimneys and one justified false alarm.
