DEEP REGRET EXPRESSED.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 28. The Japanese Mr Yosliida, was received by the Foreign Secretary, Mr Eden, when he called, on instructions by his Government, to express deep regret at the incident. A Shanghai Press telegram reports that Dr. Gauntlett, who is attending the British Ambassador, said that Sir Hughe’s .condition was satisfactory, and he expressed the hope that he would be able to resume his duties in about eight weeks.
