KAIRANGA.
(From Our Own Corerspondent.) KAIRANGA, Aug. 28. There was an attendance of twenty-five at the August meeting: of the Kairanga Young Farmers’ Club, Mr T. Wall being in the chair. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs B. Zurcher and M Voss. Mr O. Ferkert’s resignation was given on his behalf by a member. Lecturers selected for the next meeting were Messrs T. Wall and A. Mickelsen. It was decided that the secretary endeavour to arrange a combined field day at Mr Lansaster’s farm with the assistance. of the organising secretary. An interesting talk on draining was given by Mr A. Nielsen, while Mr T. Zurcher spoke on ensilage making. Both made commendable efforts for their first attempt. At the conclusion of the meeting a lecture on procedure and debating was given by Mr G. Crossley, of Palmerston North. The talk was closely followed by members. The speaker was accorded a vote of thanks on the motion of the chairman. Supper was served by the stewards, Messrs A. Nielsen and W. ICornohan.
