MONTHLY SOCIAL.

The monthly social of the Canterbury Club of Manawatu was held in the Orange Hall on Saturday night, and there was not one dull moment. A happy atmosphere prevailed, old-time dancing being entered into with zest and items adding to the pleasure. In the absence of the president (Mr C. Louisson), Mr Murray presided. Mr J. L. C. Merton was M.C., and those who contributed items were Mr H. Woodhouse (solo and recitation), Mesdames D. Niven and Findlay (duet), Miss D. Niven (tap dance), and MrF. Paddy. Supper was served by Mesdames Murray, A. C. McPherson, and R. Livingstone.
