SQUARE RIGGERS RACE.
CROWD WATCHES START. NEWPORT, Aug. 26. 'flic shores were crowded for the start of the race between the Joseph Conrad and the Seven Seas. The Joseph Conrad won the prize for the fastest time from the harbour. A New York message on August 22 said: The square riggers, Joseph Conrad and the Seven Seas, will race from Newport to Bermuda on August 26. The trophy will be a cup and the race will be the first for square riggers for years.
