LONG DUEL FOUGHT.

LASTS TWO AND A-IIALF HOURS. BOTH MEN WOUNDED. Received August 24, 9.50 a.m. BUDAPEST, Aug. 23. It is believed that the longest duel in history was fought by a chief engineer, M. Zboropjaj, and Dr. Prueler, a fencing expert. The duel lasted two and a-half hours. They used light cavalry sabres. Both were wounded early in the combat and again in the twelfth round, when a second wanted to stop the fight, which continued until the fifty-first round, when it was declared ended owing to the exhaustion of the duellists.

The duel originated over an argument at a meeting.
