UNITY BY TRADE
BELGIAN KING’S IDEA
ECONOMIC ASSOCIATION.
TO SOLVE CURRENT’ PROBLEMS
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received July 24, 11.45 a.m. BRUSSELS, July 23. King Leopold has sent a letter to M. Paul Van Zeeland suggesting an independent economic association based on world-wide research among trade, agricultural, financial and labour experts for the solution of current problems. M. Van Zeeland will shortly present his preliminary inquiry into international trade obstacles, with which he was entrusted by England and France in April. King Leopold points out that whole sections of humanity are out of sympathy with one another, and this is the first step to reunite them.
