DAYS OF RESIDENCY
AN INTERESTING LINK. NEPHEW OF WILLIAM BUSBY. Per Press Association. WHANGAKEI, July 24. Living in Clyde Street, Whangarei, is a 91-year-old nephew of Mr William Busby, who was anointed British Resilient in New Zealand in 1833. He is Mr Augustus Busby, who celebrated his 91st birthday this week. Despite his age lie is still in remarkably good health and is certainly upholding the family tradition for longevity. • His grandmother lived to the age of 94, an uncle tb 92, a brother to 91, and his eldest sister to 90.
Born in London in 1846, Mr Augustus Busby came to New Zealand when 15 years of age and, apart from several vears spent in Australia, he has divided iiis life between farming in Northland and working in Auckland.
