DEGREES CONFERRED.
* <">- NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 23. The degree of Doctor of Law was conferred on Mr Norman Arthur Foden, of Wellington, and Mr Ross Hepburn, of Christchurch, at the monthly meeting of the executive'committee of the New Zealand University Senate to-day. Mr Foden is n prominent Wellington barrister and solicitor and an' acting Crown Solicitor in the Crown Law Office. He is lecturer in accountancy law at Victoria College. Mr Hepburn is a barrister anl solicitor in Christchurch and is a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. The following degrees were also conferred : Bachelor of Arts. —Canterbury University College: John Martns Amiers, Joyce Strachan Bell. University of Otago : Gordon Stuart Doig. Bachelor of Science.—Canterbury College: Cordon Noel MacDonald. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.—University of Otago ; Alexander Stuart King, Ernest Going Loton.
