The duty of automobile associations to join with the Government and municipal authorities in propaganda work for road safety was laid down by the Commissioner of Transport, Mr G. Laitrenson, at the meeting of the New - Zealand Road Safety Council in Wellington yesterday, and on his motion the council decided to ask the associations whether they were willing to take responsibility for general propaganda in their respective districts. Pruning season is here once again; improve your results of your gardening by a little pruning. We have just landed a huge shipment of primers. These are made from Shear steel (not cast steel) and will not snap like the cheaper makes. They are a more comfortable size too for ladies to use, being specially designed for this work. These are offering at the ridiculous price of 9d each, procurable only at Collinson and Son, Ltd., Broadway and Kings way, Palmerston North. — Advt. «
