LENIENCY ADVISED.
Per Press Association. TIMARU, July 21. After one jury had failed fo agree, a second jury found Thomas Hunter Dowie guilty on a‘ charge of negligently driving a car at Makikihi on May 14 aiid thereby causing the death of Ivan Davies. The jury recommended leniency in view of the assistance given by accused and his party at the time of the accident. Sentence will be passed to-morrow.
