WRESTLING
TO-NIGHT’S BIG BOUT. A 6 a contrast to tho last bout hold in Palmorston North under tho auspices of the Palmerston North Wrestling Association, wherein both principals were known as “straight” wrestlers, tho bout to-night at the Opera House between Chief Little Wolf and Floyd Marshall, should, if they run true to form, bo more exciting. In interviews with pressmen they each havo confessed that to supply the colour demanded by wrestling patrons of to-day, it was essential that a certain amount of license be pormittod, and they cxpeelod tho paying public in the Antipodes were much like tho patrons in their own country and they know what they wanted and gave it to them. “I’m hoping to get into the ring soon with your Lofty Blomficld and King ICong Cox” who, I believe, fancy themselves as being tough ones,” said Marshall. “That is rather my style, too, and I think I’ve something special in the way of. forearm jolts which might interest one or both of the men.” Since this statement was niado Marshall line drawn with Blomftcld in a bout full of action. Little Wolf also has had a penalty win over the big New Zealander and dratfn with Earl McCready, so apparently there is nothing between the two big combatants in to-night’s match. There will be four amateur bouts as curtain-raisors to the big event.
