RONGOTEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTF.A. July 21. Reporting to a special meeting this week of directom of the Rongotea Dairy Co. the secretary advised that the butter manufactured amounted to 1120 tons for the year, being 65 tons increase on the previous year. The cream Eupply had been steady throughout. tho year, the autumn growth of grass assisting materially to keep the cowj producing, and so counteract tbe very wet spring. This was reflected in the reduced costs of repairs and other items in the factory, the machinery not being subjected to the task of handling a heavy flush period and in consequence the manager and his staff were not held up with breakages and costly impairs. Tho quality of the cream received at the factory had been of a very high etandard and the high grade of Rongotea butter had been well maintained. This quality means to the company additional revenue by reason of the premium above tho guaranteed price, which in turn is refloefod in the pay-out for the year. The directom decided to make a further payment of 2§d por lh on all the butterfat supplied. This will make the average payment for the year slightly over Is 2d por lb net to the supplier.
