SANDON.
(From Our Own Corresjomlent.; SAN DON, July 20. P.ecentlv the local branch of the Labour Party held their monthly mooting at the residence of the president. Mr D. O. Sanson. A letter was received front the secretary of tlio Elizabeth McCombs Club. Wellington, asking if arrangements could Ire made for two of their speakers to come to Sanson, and explain the objects of the club. It was agreed to assist in arranging for a meeting early in September. The party organiser (Mr E. J. Bowaler) in his report stated that all the branches were increasing their membership, and on the social side ail were showing progress. The president extended a welcome to the member for the district, Mr C. L. Hunter, and expressed appreciation of tile manner in which ho was attending to his duties. Mr Hunter thanked Mr Sanson for his remarks, and gave a brief outline of the work of the Government, also of the legislation of the coming session. Mr Hunter will be in Sanson for several days.
