LEAGUE’S CONSTITUTION

CAMPAIGN FOR REVISION. None of those who criticise the present position of the League of Nations, particularly with regard to sanctions’ is prepared to “bell the cat” and lead a campaign for the revision of its constitution, says a London message. The Empire’s relations with the League will remain nominally unaffected by tho discussions at the Imperial Conference, but there is a widespread feeling that the League, as it stands at present, is a possible source of danger. The most curious point is that some who formerly were not enthusiastic about the League are now inclined to rally to its support, while others, once very keen supporters of it, fear that if it is not altered it may lead to war.
