GIFT EVENING.

A gift evening to Aliss Vera McCall, whose marriage takes place this week, was arranged by her friends on Alonday evening in the Foresters’ Hall, Feilding. Those present included Air and Airs J. Packer, senr., Mr and Airs J. Packer, junr., Air and Aim T. Packer, Air and Airs A. Packer, Air and Airs AV. Towler, Air and Airs F. Allen, Air and Airs N. Hurdle, Air and Airs Thompson. Air, J. R. Miss McCall was wearing a frock of black taffeta, and net, relieved with pink. Dancing and games were enjoyed, music for the former being supplied by Mrs Fraser and Messrs G. Dick, N. Hurdle, J. Rosoman and T. Packer. Piano accordion selections were rendered by Mr G. Dick. 'l’he M.C. was Mr W. Towler. After supper Miss Doris Towler presented the guest with a pretty posy of daphne and maidenhair fern and heather. Much merriment was caused when the numerous parcels were opened. On behalf of the guests, Mr G. Packer expressed thanks lor the array of beautiful gifts.
