YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES.

A feature of the Wellington stock and share markets yesterday was a firming in Broken Hill Proprietary issues. Sales were made at 85s 3d and 85S. Other Sections showed little change, but the general tendency was firm. Government loans were in keen demand at firm rates. Barik shares were a shade better, and New Zealand improved to dealings at 445. The. D lotig term mortgage issue advaneed Sharply to 28s fid, a rise of Is, blit sellers were silent.
