DX CLUB.
MANAWATU BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Manawatu branch of the New Zealand DX Club was held at Mr S. P. Cowlishaw’s residence. Mr Cowlishaw presided. Judging by verifications members seemed to have had a good month’s operations. The business was of a light nature. The secretary (Mr C. J. Morgan) discussed with members the projected visit to the Wanganui branch. After the competitions had been judged the debate was held, Mr C. J. Morgan being the judge. The subject was “Is the Wireless Better than the Gramophone?” The “wireless” team (Mr S. P. Cowlishaw) had an easy win. Mr LI. Newth was the leader of the other 6icle. The competition results are are follow: Seniors.—G. Dalefiold, WJTN, 1; R. Lacey, CKCL, 2; R. Morgan, ICRLC, 3. Intermediate. —R. Lacey and C. J. Morgan tied for first place, with OKCH and WLNH respectively; G. Clemoes, KARIv, 3. Juniors. —Morris, WEXL, 1; W. Smith, KNX, 2; C. W. Schwabe, 2LM, 3. VlC.—Flogd-all, VIC2ACT. only entry.
