REGISTERED NURSES.
bridge evening. Tlie Manawatu branch of the ltegistered Nurses’ Association held a successful bridge party in the Phmket rooms last night, when there were about fifteen tables occupied. The proceeds are to go to the Nurses’ Memorial Fund, which is for the assistance of sick nurses or those in need.
The success of the evening was a tribute to the committee responsible, which consisted of the secretary (Miss V. Kelly), and Misses A. M. Kearns, Heape, Wright and Mrs It. Burnett. The prize-winners were:—Auction bridge, two lucky numbers, Mrs Baker and Miss D. Wisehnewsky; contract, Mrs A. K. Simpson; ouclin, Mrs J' A. Nash.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Manawatu branch of the Registered Nurses’ Association was held on Monday, Miss C. McKenny (Pnhiatua) presiding. Also present were Misses Brown, Wright, Madden, Heape. Worne, Banks, Kearns, Kelly, Mesdames J. Fisher and R. Bu,.rnett. The general correspondence was discussed and accounts passed for payment. It was descided to hold a general meeting of the branch and a lecture next month.
