ITALY MOURNS

LOSS OF GREAT INVENTOR. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—-Copyright.) Received July 21, 11.20 a.m. ' ROME, July 20. Mourned throughout Italy, Marchese Marconi is now tying in state in the Galatea Hall of the Royal Italian Academy, of which he was president. People of all classes filed past the bier, genuflecting and making the sign of tile Cross. Broadcasts throughout the day gave out only solemn music. Marchese Alarconi spent yesterday morning at his usual tasks and visited the Academy wherein he now lies. He was due at 6 p.m. to see Signor Alussolini and report his latest experiments. Though feeling indisposed, he said: “1 must go. Something tells me that this is the last time I shall see II Duce.” Someone, however, telephoned a doctor who, after an examination, persuaded the inventor to telephone his apologies to Signor Mussolini.
