WATERFRONT TROUBLE.
• DISPUTE AT DARWIN. DARWIN, July 20. When the Marella arrived yesterday with a shipment of urgently-needed foodstuffs, the waterside labourers refused to unload the vessel because of some local dispute. The Administrator of the Territory (Mr Abbott) to-day defied the strikers and called out a batch of troops who, with the aid of some civil servants, unloaded the ship, but allowed the beer to remain aboard. The Morelia sails to-morrow in continuation, of her voyage.
