MR LYONS RETURNS
NOT LEAVING POLITICS. FREMANTLE, July 20. The Prime Minister of Australia (Mr J. A. Lyons), who is returning from the Coronation and the Imperial Conference, arrived in the Orford from London. He is accompanied by the Australian delegates to the Imperial Conference.
Mr Lyons said he had no "intention of withdrawing from Federal politics in order to seek the chairmanship of the reconstituted Inter-State .Commission. He hinted that in the event of the Government being returned in the coining Federal elections, My Stanley Bruce would be offered a second term as High Commissioner. Mr Lyons expects that minor points relating to the costs of a modern shipping service between Australia and North America will be settled within a few days.
