Mr A. AleCormitk, of Te Awamutii, U the guest of Air C. Ness and tho Misses Ness, of Makonmko. Airs M. J; Beech is visiting Palmerston North. The Alangomutu Miniature Rifle Club beat Nircaha by 897 points to 892 in a contest for the Byrne Shield last evening.
Airs AY. D. Taylor, of Alangatainoka, is visiting Auckland. Air A. Leach, of Alf rad ton, who lias been seriously ill in the Pahiatua Hospital, is showing signs of improvement following a major operation. Sister AI. Lea, who has been on the staff of the Pahiatua Hospital for the post five years will relinquish her position at the end of the month in view of her approaching marriage. The installation of a central heating system has been commenced at the Pahiatua Hospital. Air Arthur Brenner, of Konini, who received injuries to a hand when using a slasher, was admitted to the Pahiatua Hospital yesterday.
