YOUNG MAN’S OFFENCES

WELLINGTON, July 19. Within a fortnight of his appearance before the Court charged with the unlawful conversion of seven motor-cars a youth aged 18, described as a laborder. appeared before Mr W. F. Stillwell, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day charged with two further offences of the same kind. He was committed to Borstal for a period not exceeding three years. The police said one of the cars belonged to a doctor and contained instruments which the doctor needed urgently. The youth apparently did not appreciate the leniency granted him on. the previous occasion.
