(From Our Own Corersnondenf.) RONGOTEA, July 20. The fact that several cliorrv plum trees are showing an abundance of blossom already in Rongotca cannot be attributed to the mildness of the season.. for it has been one of unusual severity, with many frosts. At present conditions are drier than at any time for the past twelve months, and serious inconvenience is # being experienced in many households owing to the shortage cf water. The dairving season had hardly closed before the collection of bobby calves commenced, and each week their numbers increase, so that the respite from making will ho very brief Mr John Hanoox, cf Rongotca, who recently. retired from business, is enjoying a well-earned holiday in Wcllinorton, being accompanied by his son. Donald. Mr W. A. Churchill is attending tho Teachers* Conference in Wellington, during the school recess, this week. Misses I\ Duffy and Boddv have returned from a holiday visit to the King Countary, where they visited To Kuiti and Piopio.
