WILLARD HOME. BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of tho "Willard Home Board was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs E. A. Collins pcrsiding. Also present were Mesdames K. Birdsall (secretary-treasurer), E. C. Barnett, C. E. Spooner, F. J. Nathan, J. A. McLeavey, T. 11. Hodder, D. Watson, L). J. Lovelock, R. A. Tims, E. B. Jennings, W. B. Cameron, S. Martin, A. E. Andrews, K. McDonald, R. Port, C. Greig, and Miss M. Cranston.

A welcome was extended to Mrs Barnett, who was present after her recent illness, and Mrs Martin, a new member who was present' for the first time.

The matron (Miss E. Anderson) reported that the health of the children had been very good. One small girl had been admitted. The children had been attending the dentist. Two members of the New Plymouth W.C.T.U. had visited the home, and had appeared very pleased with what they saw. Mrs Penketh, of the local U.C.T.U., had brought a party of girls through the home. Gratification was expressed of the donation of an electric iron from two kind friends. Mrs Cameron reported on a visit which she and Mrs Port paid to the home, everything being • found in splendid order. Mrs Spooner and Mrs Barnett will visit the homo during the coming month. Arrangements were made for the street day to be hold in August. Mrs Hodder was elected to the finance committee, Mrs McLeavey to the consultative committee, and Mrs Port the functions committee.
