The decision of the Government to remove certain road transport services competing with the railways was discussed at a meeting of the Wairarapa provincial executive of the' New Zealand Farmers’ Union yesterday, when it was stated that settlers in the various districts which would be affected were very indignant. It was decided to refer the question to the Dominion secretary with a view to taking it up with the Government.
