CAR LEAVES ROAD.
CRASH INTO TELEPHONE POLE.

HASTINGS, July 19.
Concussion and injuries to the shoulder and head were suffered by John L. Dunn, of Hastings, on Saturday evening as the result of a motor accident near Te Hauke. He was admitted to the Hastings Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and his condition, though serious, is considered satisfactory. Mr Dunn was a passenger in a car driven by Mr Frank Newrick, Hastings, and shortly before 8 o clock the car left the main Napier-Palmerston North road and crashed into a telephone pole. Mr Dunn was. the more seriously injured, Mr Newrick escaping with minor bruises and a severe shaking. The car was extensively damaged.
