RACING FATALITY.
AMATEUR JOCKEY’S DEATH. Per Press Association. WAIMATE, July 19. When Le Chicot fell in the Amateur Cup race for gentlemen riders at the Waimate Hunt races on Saturday, his rider, Mr Robin Cracroft Harper, aged 25, was believed to have suffered only a dislocated shoulder, but he died in hospital last night. Deceased was the elder son of Mr H. J. C. Harper and was a keen follower of the hounds. He had ridden at many hunt club meetings in Canterbury iii the last six years. He was educated at the Timaru High School and Christs College.
