An anti-cvclone now lies across the North Island, but a westerly depression, probably the first of a fresh series, is approaching across the south Tasman Sea Forecast: Light to moderate northerly winds, gradually becoming strong. Weather fine at first but with increasing cloud and some scattered rains probable during to-morrow in and west of the ranges. Temperatures milder. Seas moderate, but rising.
