POHANGINA VALLEY
(From Uur Own Correspondent.) POHANGINA, July 17. The monthly meeting of the Pohangino Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held at the residence of Mrs WagstafF, sent'., Mt'S'C. A. Poston presiding over a fair attendance. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdamcs Dawson, Maddison, and J. T. AJoar. A lettc.' was received from Sister L. Jones acknowledging gifts of clothing for distribution among the Maoris. Interesting letters were also received from Sister A. Wilcox, of the Maori Missions, and Sister Ada Lee, of Iloviana, Solomon Islands. A box of Christinas gifts for the Solomon Islands children was packed. Mrs Foston gave an account of iho M.W.M.U. convention in Feilding. A competition was held, Airs G. Drummond winning first place and Mrs Sinclair second. Mrs and Miss WagstafF were accorded a vote of thanks for their hospitality. The next meeting will be hold at the homo of Mm N. 11. Moar, when a market stall in aid of the church refurnishing fund will be held.
