MOSCOW, July 16,
To commemorate the opening of the new 80-mile Moscow to the Volga canal enabling ships to reach Moscow from the Baltic, Caspian and White Seas, the Soviet has granted a free pardon to 55.000 convicts who have worked on the job for five years.
The trade unions have been ordered to find them immediate employment.
