BOXING.
TICKETS RETURNED. TO HASTINGS PATRONS. HASTINGS, June 5. Owing to the non-arrival of one of tho principals, no professional contest eventuated at the boxing tournament in Hastings last evening. Half the programme arranged was staged according to schedule, but, after giving reasonable time in which to allow, the missing boxer to make his appearance, the Hawke’s Bav Association decided to return the .admission tickets to the patrons. The defaulting boxer was Ralph Aitken. of Wellington, who was to have met Allen Pa.rkes, of Palmerston North. Aitken advised that his car had broken down near Woodville.
