A RECIPE.
DANISH TEA CAKE. Two cups self-raising- Hour, 1-3 cup blitter, J cup sugar, J cup sultanas, 2 eggs, i cup milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, white I egg. shaved candied peel, chopped almonds. • Sift flour, rub in butter, add sugar and fruit; Mix with beaten egg and inijk. Place in large sandwich tin and spread evenly, with knife.. Brush oyer with, white of egg and sprinkle with sugar,. peel, and almonds' that have been ; well-mixed together. Bake in moderate o.ven 30 to 40 minutes. Turn on to cake cooler. Serve hot.
