STRUCK BY CAR.
FATALITY AT DEVONPORT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 6. Struck by a motor car as he stepped from the kerb, apparently to cross the road, on King Edward Parade, Devonport, on Saturday night, John Jones, waterside worker, single, suffered severe head and internal injuries from which he died almost instantaneously. ' The car was driven by Douglas McLaren, Devonport. Jones was a returned soldier.
