INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
EPIDEMIC ON THE WANE.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, June 4. In spite of the fact that a further case of infantile paralysis was reported to the Health Department to-day, statistics show clearly that the epidemic is waning, the fast reduction in the number of cases' being particularly satisfactory as far as the South Island notifications are concerned. For the week ended May 17 last the South Island total was fifteen cases; in the following week the South Island total had dropped to ten, and the total for the week ended on Monday last was six. The case notified to-day was that of a woman aged 25, who has been admitted to the Christchurch Hospital from ILawarden.
