HOUSEHOLD HINTS.

To giver .a cauliflower 1a nice white appearance, add a spoonful of vinegar to the water in which it is boiled. Always cook cauliflower in an enamellined saucepan. I To clear a blocked sink, get some chloride of lime irom the chemist. Stuff it into the pipe as tightly as possible. Pour in boiling water, slowly at first. The lime will mini away the Obstructing rubbish, and the pipe will be cleared.

' When making a stew, first skim it well, then add 1 dessertspoon of vinegar, and all traces of grease will disappear.
