AVOODVILLE, June 3
Air and Airs C. E. Alain, of Pongakawa, Waikato, and Air F; Alain, arc visiting relatives in the district and are the guests of Air and Airs E. H. Giles, AVoodville.
The erection of two-way bridges to replace the present one-way bridges lretween AVoodville and Dannevirko is being urged by the Automobile Association (Hawke’s Bay) in representations to the Alain Highways Board. It is pointed out that with a steady increase in traffic tlie present bridges are a source of danger. Before Air W. Dobson, J.P., in the Alagistrate’s Court Harold Alaton Smith, of AVoodville, a farmer, was charged tint on ATay 28, at Dannevirke, in Miller's Road, he was in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor vehicle. Air Geo. Lloyd, who appeared for accused, asked for a remand. Bail was allowed, self in the sum of £SO, and one surety of like amount.
