BOXING.
GILDO BEATS RAYNER. Pol' Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 3. Young Gildo, the Filipino, knocked out Clarrie llayner, of Blenheim, in the fourteenth round of a professional boxing match at the Town Hall tonight. Gildo did the leading throughout and took the aggressive from the tenth round onward, keeping up a relentless attack. Gildo had llayner down for eight in the % eleventh, eight in the twelfth and three times for nine in the thirteenth. Though Rayner fought gamely he could not withstand the hurricane attack of the Manila boy and took the count for nine twice in the fourteenth. The Blenheim boy went down a third time and made a game attempt to rise at nine but fell back on the ropes and wad counted out.
