PACIFIC PACT.

DOMINION’S SUPPORT. AMERICA INTERESTED. Received June 4, 12.20 p.m. LONDON, June 3. The political correspondent of the Australian Associated - Press learns that Mr Bingham, the American Ambassador, conveyed to Mr J. A. Lyons a written invitation from President Roosevelt for Mr Lyons to visit Washington en route to Australia, but Mr Lyons expressed regret at his inability to accept it. It is believed President Roosevelt desired to discuss several questions, including Mr Lyons’s Pacific Pact proposal. Meanwhile, the Imperial Conference has appointed a sub-committee of experts to examine the Pacific Pact.

It is gathered that Mr M. J. Savage intimated that New Zealand favours the idea and is ready to attend a conference.
