ABDUCTION PLOT
ATTEMPT ON CHANCELLOR. 30 NAZIS TO BE TRIED. CONSPIRACY- CHARGE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received June 4, 10*55 a.m. LONDON, June 3. The Daily Herald’s Prague correspondent says that 30 Austrian Nazis will be tried shortly on charges of conspiring to abduct Dr. Kurt von Scliuschnigg (the Austrian Chancellor) and his 11-year-old son Kurt. The plot, which was organised by Nazi Storm Troopers, was intended to take place in October, 1936, when it was intended to seize Dr. von Schuschnigg and Kurt and, rush them to Germany in a ’plane. German Nazis, however, were opposed to the plot, which was betrayed to the Austrian police and the leaders arrested. They have been imprisoned ever since.
