VALUELESS CHEQUES

Per Press Association. g., WELLINGTON, June 2. Sentence of six months’ hard labour on each of five charges, two of the sentences to be cumulative, was imposed at Wellington by Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., on George Crompton Mansfield, aged’ 43, a labourer, for obtaining money and goods by valueless cheques, He was described as a particularly bad offender in.cases of this sort.
