The proceeds of a concert given at the Lytton .Street School on Tuesday afternoon by pupJs were given to the King George V Memrial Fund, the i amount collected being £3 10s 44d. N.G. Sister Guy presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Kowhai Rebekah Lodge, wnen ah official visit was paid by the officers and members of Hm-ekoa .Uebekah Lodge, Palmer-; ston North. There was alwo a good, attendance of members. Following lodge business, a euchre tournament ior I the Maiheson Shield was played and Kowhai accounted for Hinekoa in a been contest. 'J he captain of Hinekoa'6 team (Sister Turner) expressed thanks for the enjoyable evening the visitors h?.d spent, and Sister I'eakins, captain of the Kowhai team, expressed the hope that another visit would be pa'd.
